Xesta Micro Bee Jigs

Description

Super Light Shore Jigging is a fishing style on which Japanese company Xesta excels and is becoming very popular in the Mediterranean.

Depending on the fish species we are after and the particular conditions in the area, some prey might respond well to a light jig, descending in an intensive fluttering pattern, while others might respond only to rolling jigs. Xesta believes that Light Shore Jigging could be more effective when the jig is versatile and can adopt to the conditions and habits of the target prey. Having this as a guiding principle, Xesta developed the Micro Bee jigs.

These micro jigs have the shape of a small bait fish with a compressed and linear profile and coupled with 3-D eyes make this bait so realistic. This mini version of a jig, with their very small size and low weight, have been designed specifically for Ultra Light Shore Jigging techniques. Due to its very well balanced center weight design, it has a slow to medium fall rate which is great to entice even the fusiest of eaters at any depth. Once the jig has hit the bottom a simple erratic jerk of the rod creates a medium to fast, fluttering action.

The Micro Bees flutter as they are sinking and the fish are reacting to them aggressively. You will receive most of the strikes during the descent of the jig. If this does not work, try a pause in between every 3 jigs. In high-speed retrieve, the Micro Bee spins and creates intensive flashes.

Because it is has a very small silhouette, a simple hook system, with a triple hook attached to the tail hook has been adopted by Xesta.

The colours have been so meticulously produced, in some cases even with holographic film. Given the small sizes, these mini jigs echo the colours of tiny forage fish such as small anchovies, small sardines, mullet, etc. The colors include shades of blue, green, silver and pink and are finished with small punctuations on the sides, which in turn mimic the forage fish quite realistically.
