Designed to fish in combination with all Shimano electric reels, the Technium Deep Drop is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a specialized rod, to match with your powerful, hi-tech reel. Perfect for fishing the deepest depths for Squid, Short Fin Squids, Grouper, or any other deep water predators, the Technium Deep Drop enables you to harness the power of your reel, with maximum efficiency, even at the deepest depths. The progressive curve action, enables the blank to work seamlessly with your reels automatic drag, letting you fish with extreme confidence and maximum enjoyment.
The blank of the Technium Deep Drop is manufactured from Full Carbon with HPC technology, to create a powerful, but progressive action. This gives immense lifting power, whilst compensating for any sudden unexpected pressure increase, when fighting fish from the deep. To enhance the action of the blank further, the high quality, triple legged Seaguide guides, which are suitable for braided and monofilament lines, are arranged in a spiral configuration. This simple design holds the line away from the blank when under pressure and maximizes the rods action by reducing blank twist.
To ensure a rock-solid mounting between your rod and reel, an extremely strong and durable Pac Bay reel seat is fitted, to an easy to grip, EVA handle and the addition of an aluminium gimbal completes the comfortable, practical design.
There are two models in the range, both are 76 in length and have a 1+1 detachable handle for easy transport. The lighter model has a 500-1000g rating, whilst the heavier version is rated between 800-1500g enabling you to get your bait to the bottom quickly and fish effectively in strong currents.
