Description

Octopuses are a highly sought after prey, for all sea predators all over the world, especially for bottom feeders of the ocean like Groupers and Golden Blotched Groupers, but also for the Red Coloured ones such as Dentex, Pink Dentex and Red Porgy.

Up until now there wasnt any special lure to mimic an octopus. Savage Gear, for a long time, now has been advancing to address the vast majority of Mediterranean anglers, with progressive and highly effective lures, that have been designed after extensive tests. Hence, it was Savage Gear that came into the play and proposed the 3D Octopus in the 2019 Efftex Show. This special lure won the prize of the Innovation of the Year which is actually considered amongst the greatest distinctions of the show and was also a runner up for Best Metal Lure. Whats more important is that it already delivers trophy fishes all around for a score of anglers.

The Savage Gear 3D Octopus was designed after a 3D scan of an actual octopus. It was made by a soft to the touch, but durable material called TPE. Its whole structure, TPE, its heavy duty hook, its lead alloy body has been designed to withstand fierce attacks and heavy use. Its colors are enhanced by glowing details, something precious in shallower waters and faster presentations, but also for the slower ones in greater depths were bioluminescence plays a vital role. Its weigh varies from 35, 75, 120, 185 up to 300 grams and allows the angler to use it in various coastal, or boat fishing techniques.

Some quite amazing innovations have been presented here.
