This garden knife set includes the following knives:

1 Pruning knife N°08 with tangerine handle. With its curved blade beveled on both sides the Opinel No8 pruning knife is the ideal tool for grape-picking, shrub pruning or cutting ties.

Stainless Steel Sandvik 12C27
Opinel uses Sandvik 12C27, modified stainless steel for its knives. It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge.
Handle
Beech is the most commonly used wood for the manufacture of Opinel handles,it has a light and homogeneous color, a fine and regular grain and a very strong resistance over time.
Virobloc
All garden knifes include the patented Virobloc safety ring, that keeps the blade locked open while in use and locked shut while in transport. The Safety Ring was invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955. The Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives, from the N° 06 size. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open , it is now possible to lock the blade closed .
Cleaning
With your Opinel open, run warm water on the blade and wipe with a sponge and washing-up liquid. Rinse the blade with warm water while taking care not to soak the wooden handle. Leave the blade to dry before closing .
Important: Do not immerse your knife in water as this could warp the wooden handle.
