Description
The Special One Overhead series has been specially developed by Spanish company Howk, for fast jigging. They are Medium action rods with a very strong blank, that allows working large catches, with great comfort.
All The Special One series blanks have been manufactured using the best carbon on the market today, the Toray T1K. The helical arrangement of the carbon sheets results in high strength and very flexible blank, with extremely low weight. As The Special One is a fast, but short Jigging rod, it produces a total parabolic action that makes fighting big prey, much more comfortable.
Howk has equipped the Special One Baitcasting rod with Fuji SIC rings K. The triple legged Fuji SIC rings, have a very hard silicon carbide ceramic. Carbide ceramics cause lower friction to the braided line, so it allows the angler better sets, and less wearing out of the line due to heat. In addition, their frames are made of high quality stainless steel. Spiral distribution of the triple legged, Fuji guides, provide smooth line delivery and heat dissipation, in which 5 guides make a 180° rotation. Spiral distribution rods use fewer guides, spaced further apart, reducing wear on thin braided lines.
All the handles of The Special One series are made of high density EVA material, are ergonomically designed and finished in grey color. The handles complete the simple and elegant design of this grey and black Howk rod, with a matte carbon texture at the beginning of the blank, with transparent epoxy finish, so you can see the arrangement of the carbon sheets. It also includes details such as the Howk logo embossed on the handle. Every detail matters and therefore the textured logo on the handles, makes a difference and provides a seal of distinction.
Fuji reel seat, made of Graphite and stainless steel rings will keep your jigging reel in place during tough battles. This is one of the highest quality reel seats by Fuji, lightweight and highly resistant. The butt is made of rubber material, which adds comfort when fighting large fish without the use of a combat belt. If you do use a belt, the end of the butt is hollow in the shape of a cross, to prevent the rod from twisting during a fight.
