The 2023 Shimano Dialuna Spinning rods bring about even further evolution, beyond its class.

The Shimano Dialuna, has always been a lure-casting rod, that thoroughly pursues performance beyond its class. It is a rod targeting Seabass anglers, who find themselves needing to fish with a wide range of heavier lures, in tougher conditions, such as Patchinkos, silicone lures such as Black Minnow, or the 42 gr Savage Gear Sandeel.

The 2023 series takes this even further, with the adoption of a Spiral X and High-Power X blank structure, that results in lighter weight and increased power, while maintaining strength and rigidity. With a regular fast taper, the tip section offers excellent operability, while the middle and lower sections retain the power to effectively manage high-load situations, when casting and fighting.

A new Carbon Monocoque grip has also been adopted, and this provides additional weight reduction, increased sensitivity and perfect balance, despite the added volume. Due to this, the sharpness and responsiveness have been greatly improved and anglers can readily detect changes in water flow and understand the swimming actions of the lure.

The Dialuna has now evolved into a rod that allows anglers to enjoy high-precision applications, also realising a new feeling. Spiral X Technology

Through its exclusive lightweight structure, Shimano’s patented Spiral X construction, enhances catching power for anglers. Spiral X construction consists of three layers: a middle layer of vertical fibers, as well as inner and outer layers, both comprised of carbon tape, that tightly winds the blank diagonally in opposite directions. By using this carbon tape in place of a conventional horizontal fiber sheet, Spiral X achieves enhanced compression rigidity and increased torsional rigidity without adding extra weight. This in turn facilitates instant power transmission for precise casting and fish fighting.

Carbon Monocoque Grip

The Carbon Monocoque grip, is a carbon-molded grip, that is lightweight with high sensitivity, transferring even the smallest vibration to an anglers hand. The Carbon Monocoque Grip increases sensitivity by 30% compared to traditional rod handles and utilizes a hollow structure that eliminates unnecessary parts of the rear grip to improve weight reduction and vibration transmission.
