Daiwa J Braid Grand X8

Description

Made in Japan, this Daiwa braid uses fibers called Izanas, providing the highest grade of resistance, 4 times more resistant to abrasion.

Izanas, is an ultra-strong polyethylene fiber, from the global brand Toyobo. Each thread is weaved using a micro-pitch, braided process and then applied special heat treatment to make each thread adhere to each other. On this version of J Braid, the process of winding the braid allows the strands to be tightened even more. As a result, the roundness is improved, offering firmness and resiliency that could not be achieved with conventional manufacturing methods. Abrasion resistance, which has always been a point of weakness, is now greatly improved.

In addition, the J-Braid Grand x8 has a perfectly round shape optimizing its aerodynamics and hydrodynamics. Thus, casting distances are improved and the better hold of the braid when fishing ensures increased sensitivity and reactivity.
